Friend of Robust and master craftsman Ben McBrien, concocted his own rocker base for this (or any) shell-esque side chair. The original Eames base is a staple in modern design. Ben took matters into his own hands at his Philadelphia workshop and re-purposed a warped piece of plywood, layed it up and cut into rockers.
