1970 Italian Grand Prix At Monza By Robust Flavor
May 14th, 2008 Posted in RandomThe 1970 Italian Grand Prix was a Formula One held at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza on September 6, 1970. This was during the heyday of F1 poster boy and Scotsman Jackie Stewart. Although, Stewart came in second on this day with Italian Gianclaudio Giuseppe “Clay” Regazzoni (Ferrari) winning. During the race, Jochen Rindt crashed and died from his injuries on the way to the hospital. Eerily enough, Regazzoni also died in a car accident in Italy in 2006.
