Interview With Snowboarder Danny Davis

In 2006 he won Rookie-Of-the-Year awards from both Transworld Snowboarding and Snowboarder magazines simultaneously. The kid from Michigan is now living in Tahoe and traveling the world. RF: Where did you grow up?
Danny: In a small little place called Highland, Michigan
RF: When did you first get into your sport?
Danny: When i was about 9 or 10
RF: What was your first set-up?
Danny: It was a 121 Nale i had some airwalk boots.
RF: What was the scene like back then?
Danny: haha, Laid out backflips, and backside 360 tailfishes all day at Alpine Valley.
RF: What was the first video you were ever in?
Danny: The first real snowboard movie i was in was last years “Optimistic” by Absinthe films, but i was in the free burton promo videos like 2 couple years ago.
RF: Which sponsors have you had throughout your career?
Danny: I have had Burton, who has been there with me for a while, and then Analog is my streetwear and outerwear. For goggles i once rode for Anon but now i ride for Dragon which is cool and mellow. I also ride for Mtn. Dew, boost mobile, nixon, FRENDS, high cascade snowboard camp, embasi skateshop
RF: Where in the world has your career taken you?
Danny: I have been super lucky going all over the world. I have been to china, new zealand, australia, norway, alaska, germany, switzerland, austria, chile, and japan
RF: Most memorable traveling memories?
Danny: Anytime in japan is definitely memorable, but most of the time you only remember some of it.
RF: What else do you do for fun?
Danny: skate, hike, learn harmonica, play jams with Jack Mitrani, and search for babes!
RF: Describe a typical day:
Danny: wake up, pretty slow. then make up like 3 eggs with some veggies and shit. Then go shred somewhere, wherever i am. And then maybe get some skating in after, most likely a lot of chilling after shredding.
RF: What is next for 2008?
Danny: Well i have had a broken ankle for a bit, so im just getting better and i should be skating and snowboarding soon. can’t wait
