Interview With Jun Jo Of In4mation
March 26th, 2008 Posted in InterviewsIntroducing professional surfer Jun Jo. Jun was born in Japan and raised in Hawaii. He travels the world surfing, shooting photos and just being himself. Jun is a founder and co-owner of Hawaiian apparel brand In4mation.
RF: Who are your sponsors?

RF: Where did you grow up?
Jun: mostly on the Eastside of Oahu, Hawaii
RF: Where do you live now?
Jun: Honolulu off of Mc Cully Blvd, right in the cut
RF: What do you think about Dog The Bounty Hunter and Leland?
Jun: hey it is what it is, it’s entertaining that’s for sure my favorite parts of the show is when Dog and family try and speak like the locals, it’s comedy!
RF: What were you into growing up?
JUN: hanging out with my friends skating ditches and surfing
RF: What do you worry about?
Jun: used to be nothing but now with having a kid, I wanna make sure he’s all good in the future
RF: Do you like everything you do?
Jun: of course! Wouldn’t change a thing! The good and the bad.
RF: How did you know you wanted to be a surfer?
Jun: don’t know if there was a defining moment but I can say that the feeling of riding a wave and being in the ocean was what made me love the sport, it all started when I was around 12 or so.
RF: What’s your favorite food?
Jun: anything, to be honest. The favorites always change.
RF: Are you easy to work with?
Jun: mmmmm, thats hard to say, probably not since I always think with my emotions which isn’t always the best way. But I’m trying to get better.
RF: What’s your favorite place to surf?
Jun: anywhere real hollow, love the feeling of a late drop into a hollow wave. Adrenaline running to the point of not even remembering the wave just caught from being too high from the excitement.
RF: What other surfers do you like?
Jun: I like Akila Aipa, Kelly Slater, Dorian… anyone that flows.
RF: Outside of surfing, what do you do for fun?
Jun: hang out with Ziggy (my son) and wife Cassie.
RF: What’s next for 2008?
Jun: release of Zampa movie with Chad Campbell, traveling to some very far offbeat places with guru nature boy art photographer Naki Funaki and bettering myself as a person
