Nike SB Thrashin’, Mondrian and Fuji-Rods At UNIV May 12

UNIV is receiving three new releases from Nike SB on May 12. They are great… you won’t want to miss them! Some background on the styles that are coming:

Dunk Hi Thrashin’: Thrashin’ Dunk High is inspired by the 80’s skateboard movie, Thrashin’. Much of the inspiration comes from the movie poster in which Corey Webster is seen holding a skateboard and the spider print from the skateboard is used for the panels while the bright colored fonts inspire a gradient swoosh, sole and inner lining.

Dunk Lo Piet Mondrian: The multicolored color-way is inspired by the artist Piet Mondrian and one of his 1921 piece “Composition with Red, Yellow and Blue” which uses thick black lines to separate the color forms. The shoe features white canvas on the upper, black suede joints and textured three primary colors on toe cap, panel at the back and heel. Simple but impressive.

Fuji Rod: Hiroshi Fujiwara designed these P-Rod 2’s which he named the Fuji Rod. They feature his name and Fragment logo on the tongue and the black dotted portion is made of 3M reflective material.

Robust Flavor Corporate Strategy And Technique Training Centre

The Robust Flavor Corporate Strategy and Technique Training Centre is conveniently located in Northern Canada. It’s a great spot, quite peaceful and very motivating for our high dollar corporate executives.

One drawback is the 11 hours of flying time, four hours of driving, two hour ferry and then eight more hours of driving that it takes to get there. Guillermo P. couldn’t handle the travel and packed in before he got there. Anyone wanting to fill his spot can apply at the front desk. References recommended and GED (or greater) required. Good penmanship is a plus.

Shinehead By Robust Flavor

Shinehead brought dancehall style reggae meets hip hop to the scene in the mid to late 80s. Shinehead aka Edmund Carl Aiken was born in Jamaica and then moved to the US.

Originally debuting in 1986 with Who The Cap Fits (Let Them Wear It), Shinehead then signed to Elektra records and released Chain Gang Rap, Ragamuffin and many more hits. He became a regular on Yo! MTV Raps and is still keeping it real to this day. We wore his cassette tapes out back then to say the least!

Chocolate Skateboards x Jordan Mitchell

Introducing the new Chocolate skateboards collection as designed by renowned artiste extraordinaire Jordan Mitchell. Jordan is the creative mastermind behind cult fave independent brands Eugene and Mammal and also spent some time working for some of the action sports’ best brands. His inspiration for the boards? “simply sharing something i was excited about with people that i thought would appreciate it”. He’s also a nice fella who enjoys surfing and having a good time.
